3 September Keynote updates:
"Do we really know how to measure surfaces".
Prof. Richard Leach of the National Physical Laboratory in the UK and Fellow of the Institute of Physics. Richard is leading work into the development of measurement and characterisation techniques for micro- to nanoscale features.
Art
Prof. Mady Elias of the Institut des Nanosciences de Paris, CNRS, University Pierre et Marie Curie in France, will be giving a keynote on the influence of the surface roughness on the visual appearence of works of art.
Anthropology
Prof. Peter Ungar is an Honorary Professorial Research Fellow in the Palaeonthropology Unit for Research and Exploration, Bernard Price Institute, University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. He joined the Department of Anthropology at the University of Arkansas in 1995. He currently serves as chair of the department.
